CAD TECH

Nowak & Fraus Engineers has an immediate opening for a motivated individual for its Pontiac, Michigan office as an Engineering Technician.  Full time and contract status will be considered.  The position involves performing CADD services for a wide variety of surveying and civil engineering projects including, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of boundary and topographic surveys
  • Preparation of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys
  • Preparation of Act 132 Surveys
  • Preparation of easement exhibits and sketches
  • Preparation of Civil/site work drawings for both public and private development projects
  • Residential, commercial, industrial and institutional site planning
  • Site grading and storm drain design (including profiles)
  • Storm water management design
  • Water and sanitary sewer main design (including profiles)
  • Soil erosion and sedimentation control design
  • Preparation of miscellaneous presentation exhibits and sketches

 

We are seeking a technician with a minimum of 5 years experience, excellent communications and computer skills, and Autocad and Civil 3D experience.  In addition, the successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of various computer software including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Knowledge of Federal, local and industry engineering codes and standards
  • Knowledge of civil engineering concepts and principles
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients, technical staff and management
