A Few Cool Projects

At any one time, NFE has hundreds of projects going on in various stages from surveying, engineering design to construction management. The following is a brief overview of a few interesting projects we have going on right now in Michigan:

  • Dodge Park Improvements in Sterling Heights, totaling $7 million, including the addition of a splash pad, ice rink, farmer’s market pavilion, amphitheater, sand volleyball courts and mini soccer fields
  • A new $19 million corporate headquarters for Hino Motors U.S.A. in Novi, featuring 81,600 square feet of office and 41,800 square feet of warehouse space, land contains regulated wetlands and woodlands making project complex
  • Orchard Lake Boulevard Streetscape Improvements for West Bloomfield Township, will create an identity for the corridor and transforming it into a “world-class boulevard”
  • Old Woodward Reconstruction from Brown Street to Willits Street/Oakland Avenue (in the downtown area) for the City of Birmingham, including below ground infrastructure as well as above ground improvements and streetscape design
  • Final restoration for the O’Neal Lake Dam project in Bliss Township (by the Wilderness State Park) for DTMB/DNR, will flood the lake that has been dry since 2014, bringing back public recreational activities and a habitat for wildlife
  • Bloomfield Park Apartments, featuring multiple buildings of rental units at the new Village of Bloomfield on Telegraph Road in Pontiac/Bloomfield Township
  • Topgolf, a three-level, high-tech golf driving range near Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills, the first of its kind in Michigan
  • Mixed-Use Development on Big Beaver Road at the corner of Crooks Road in Troy, featuring restaurants, apartments and parking deck, completed to date is a new Fidelity building and a Shake Shack, the second in Michigan
  • A new Michigan Center for Decision Driving facility in Dimondale for the State of Michigan, will provide specialized training for truck drivers to improve their skills which in turn will reduce commercial vehicle accidents
  • City of Royal Oak’s $58 million Civic Center project, including a new city hall, downtown park, parking deck and private office building, will reconfigure a large part of the downtown area
