Glen Yrjanainen, PE, PS
Mr. Glen Yrjanainen serves as a Consultant of Council on municipal engineering and land development projects. Glen joined NFE in 1998 as a Principal and served in that capacity until his retirement in 2014. His career expands over 45 years of providing exemplary civil engineering and land surveying services with a focus on storm drainage, hydraulics, hydrology and water resources. While at NFE, Glen provided consulting engineering services to the City of Birmingham, and oversaw many private land development projects, varying in size and scope. Prior to NFE, he worked at the Oakland County Drain Commissioner’s Office for 27 years, and in 1994, was promoted to Chief Deputy Drain Commissioner. Over his career, Glen has authored a number of published technical papers, and was an adjunct professor at Macomb Community College where he taught drainage design.
Glen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Wayne State University, and is both a Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor in the State of Michigan.
